Volunteers of America North Louisiana (VOANLA) is pleased to announce the 2023-24 board of directors, and welcome three newly-elected community leaders who will each serve a three-year membership term on the organization’s 30-member Board of Directors.
The new members are Jessica Green Davis, assistant district attorney for Bossier/Webster parishes; Taurean Y. Randolph, professional school counselor for Caddo Parish Public Schools; and Anna Whittenbarger, trust advisor at Regions Bank.
Along with their passion for activism and community service, these professional women bring a unique set of leadership skills, connections, and expertise. Board member’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, advocating on behalf of those served, overseeing the organization’s budget, and assisting to close an annual $2.5 million dollar funding gap. This gap is the financial difference between what VOANLA receives in government funds and the true cost to provide quality, intensive services to thousands of children and families, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and senior adults in our community.
Keith Evans, president at Brammer Engineering, will begin his second term as the Board Chair.
“We simply could not do our work without our Board member’s leadership, dedication, and strategic direction,” Hammond shares. “I look forward to this year and working with our new members as we collaborate together to develop the 2024-26 strategic plan for the organization.”
