Together, Volunteers of America North Louisiana and schools can help our children succeed by providing services for youth experiencing emotional and/or behavioral problems.
Our services are offered on every campus throughout schools in DeSoto Parish.

Our 2025-2026 Impact
277 students across DeSoto Parish schools were served, and YBH assisted by providing interventions on 57 unique behavioral crisis situations with 86% of students being able to return to class following VOANLA interventions
DeSoto school-based telehealth services increased from 251 in FY25 to 281 in FY26, showing continued growth in telehealth access for rural students
98% of enrolled students avoided hospitalization
82% of clients/parents who completed a survey report seeing a positive improvement since enrolling in the school wellness program
100% of School Administrators surveyed at the end of FY26 reported that they work well with their VOANLA school wellness counselors
