Current openings:

Program Assistant/Driver (Shreveport area) – We have part time Program Assistant/Driver positions open at our Travis Street LightHouse after-school program.  The Program Assistant/Driver utilizes an agency vehicle to transport program participants to/from the program site.  Additionally, they work with the Program Coordinator to provide instructional and recreational activities for program participants five to thirteen years of age.  Working hours are from 2:00 p.m. to approximately 7:00 p.m., Monday – Thursday.  Candidates must pass a background check; have a valid Louisiana Chauffeur’s License; and a good driving record.  Prior experience working with youth is preferred.

Operations Improvement Coordinator (Shreveport) – We are currently accepting resumes to fill a new, full time position within our organization.  This position will be responsible for training, providing technical assistance, reporting, and monitoring system users for the agency’s various data collection systems.  Essential functions include, but are not limited to:  monitoring data collection processes across the organization; maintaining a working knowledge of the agency’s databases; training end-users on data collection, and the policies and procedures for data entry and maintenance; training for and verifying end-user and agency-level understanding of data security, confidentiality, and data integrity requirements; assisting end-users and agency administrators with technical support; and producing monthly reports.  The new position will work with the IT Director and Quality Manager. 

Requirements include a high school diploma, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred; training or educator experience is a plus; a minimum of three years of experience in a social service or customer service field; experience utilizing Microsoft office products, including Excel; experience in the use or ability to quickly learn how to use an online data management system; strong organizational and analytical skills; and excellent verbal and written communication skills.   Candidates must pass a criminal background check and have dependable transportation.

Driver (Shreveport area) – We are currently accepting applications for Drivers.  These are part-time positions working a split shift from 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.  The primary responsibility of this position is to transport adult clients to and from our program site.  Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Chauffer’s license or Commercial Drivers License (CDL), a good driving record, and a clear criminal background check.

Child & Adolescent Mental Health Professional (Caddo and Desoto Parish, LA only) – We are seeking to fill full-time Mental Health Professional positions working in Caddo and Desoto Parish, Louisiana only.  Primary responsibilities include providing supportive counseling, individual intervention, parent/family intervention and crisis intervention for school aged children with mental health and/or behavioral issues.  Additional duties include collecting data for the initial assessment; conducting face-to-face interviews with the recipient and their family, which shall include school and home visits; providing crises intervention support as needed; and ensuring all records are accurately maintained and all invoicing is submitted in a timely manner.  Minimum requirements include a master’s degree in counseling or a related field; and full licensure in the State of Louisiana, or individuals in supervision for their license.
