Current Openings:

SIL Supervisor (Shreveport area) – A full time position is available in our New Opportunities Waiver Program for a Supervised Independent Living (SIL) Supervisor. This position is responsible for assisting the SIL Program Manager in the supervision and evaluation of Personal Care Attendants’ (PCAs’) job performance, as well as training PCAs to provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities as required by State Licensing and Volunteers of America policies. The SIL Supervisor also participates in the development and implementation of clients’ Comprehensive Plans of Care; utilizes an electronic verification system to manage PCAs’ time; provides on-call duties to meet the needs of the clients and agency; schedules PCA coverage for clients per hours designated in the Individual Comprehensive Plan of Care; provides ongoing community integration of clients through involvement in social events with community organizations; attends in-service trainings; transports clients to appointments or social events as needed; and maintains client confidentiality per HIPAA standards.

Requirements include one of the following:
1. Have a Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field from an accredited university and two years of paid experience in a human services related field providing direct services to persons with disabilities or the elderly. Or:
2. Have a high school diploma or GED and have five years of paid experience providing direct care services to the elderly or persons with developmental disabilities. Or:
3. Be a licensed registered nurse (RN) or a licensed practical nurse (LPN) with one year of paid experience as an RN or LPN providing direct services to the elderly or persons with developmental disabilities.

Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, proof of current auto insurance, reliable transportation, and successfully pass a background check.

Program Assistant (Bossier City) – We are seeking to fill a part time Program Assistant position in the after-school program at our Bossier LightHouse location. The mission of this position is to assist the Program Coordinator in providing instruction and recreational activities for youth five to eighteen years of age. Responsibilities include assisting with homework; assisting with development and organization of daily activities and special events; assisting with the monitoring of students during participation in the LightHouse program. Requirements include a high school diploma, however, enrollment in a degree program and previous teaching experience is a plus. Candidates must be comfortable working in person and virtually from 2:30pm-5pm and 6:00pm-7:30pm, and must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Program Assistants and Drivers Lighthouse (Shreveport area) – We have part time Program Assistant and Driver positions open at our Travis Street LightHouse after-school program. The Driver utilizes an agency vehicle to transport program participants to/from the program site.  The Program Assistant works with the Program Coordinator to provide instructional and recreational activities for program participants five to thirteen years of age. Working hours are from 2:00 p.m. to approximately 7:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday. Candidates must pass a background check; have a valid Louisiana Chauffeur’s License; and a good driving record. Prior experience working with youth is preferred.

Mental Health Professional II (Caddo Parish, LA) – We currently have an opening for a full time roving Mental Health Professional in our Youth Behavioral Health Program.  This position provides services to a high school in Caddo Parish, Louisiana.  Primary responsibilities include providing supportive counseling, individual intervention, parent/family intervention and crisis intervention for school aged children with mental health and/or behavioral health issues.  Additional duties include collecting data for the initial assessment; conducting face-to-face interviews with the recipient and their family, which shall include school and home visits; providing crises intervention support as needed; and ensuring all records are accurately maintained and all invoicing is submitted in a timely manner.  Minimum requirements for a Mental Health Professional II include a master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or social work. Preference will be given to those fully or provisionally licensed in the State of Louisiana. Candidate must pass a background check.

Direct Service Worker/Personal Care Attendant (Shreveport/Bossier area) – We are currently seeking individuals who are interested in working with intellectually disabled clients in a direct service worker position. Personal Care Attendants ensure the daily safety and wellbeing of developmentally disabled clients in a residential setting.

Responsibilities include ensuring that clients follow proper activities of daily living (dressing, personal hygiene, meal preparation, laundry skills, etc.).  Additionally, Personal Care Attendants transport clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, etc.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and acceptable results of a criminal background check. Prior experience working with the disabled population is preferred.
