Current openings:

Regional Housing Manager (Shreveport area) – Resumes are currently being accepted for a Regional Housing Manager.  This position provides expertise and supervision regarding asset management/operations for properties operated or under lease by Volunteers of America of North Louisiana.  Additionally, this position represents the interests of the agency in all aspects of housing operations and monitors performance related to financial, physical, operating systems and regulatory compliance.  Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience in asset management, as well as experience in financial analysis, insurance/risk management, accounting, personnel management and regulatory compliance.  Additionally, specific knowledge and training regarding HUD Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) inspections and HUD housing and HUD homeless programs is required.  Candidate must also pass a criminal background check.

Program Assistant (Bossier City) – We are accepting resumes for a part time Program Assistant position in the after-school program at our Bossier LightHouse location.  The mission of this position is to assist the Program Coordinator in providing instruction and recreational activities in the afternoons (Monday – Thursday, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m./8-10 hours per week) for children five to thirteen years of age.  Responsibilities include lesson planning; assisting with homework; assisting with development and organization of daily activities and special events; and assisting with the monitoring of students during participation in the LightHouse program.  Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, and pass a criminal background check.

Child & Adolescent Mental Health Professional (Desoto Parish, Louisiana only) – We are seeking to fill full-time Mental Health Professional positions working in Desoto Parish, Louisiana only.  Primary responsibilities include providing supportive counseling, individual intervention, parent/family intervention and crisis intervention for school aged children with mental health and/or behavioral issues.  Additional duties include collecting data for the initial assessment; conducting face-to-face interviews with the recipient and their family, which shall include school and home visits; providing crises intervention support as needed; and ensuring all records are accurately maintained and all invoicing is submitted in a timely manner.  Minimum requirements include a master’s degree in counseling or a related field; and full licensure in the State of Louisiana, or individuals in supervision for their license.
