Five Community Leaders Join the 2021-2022 Board of Directors

Volunteers of America North Louisiana (VOANLA) is pleased to announce five community leaders who will serve a three-year term on the 2021-22 Board of Directors.

The new members are Brittney Dunn, independent certified public accountant; Wesley Lazarus, assistant vice president at Progressive Bank; Terry Moore, wealth management advisor at Merrill Lynch; Jonathan Reynolds, chief commercial officer at Carter Credit Union; and Angie White, chief operating officer at North Louisiana Economic Partnership.

With extensive leadership experience and financial expertise, the new members bring a set of unique skills to assist the organization’s work to close a $2.5 million annual financial gap, which is the difference between what it takes to fund VOANLA’s programs and services to serve around 6,500 men, women, and children in need versus what is received in government funding.

Robert Dean, current board of director’s chair and managing partner at Heard, McElroy, & Vestal, LLC, shares why board leadership is vital to VOANLA’s ministry of service. He states, ” We are not merely an advisory board, but a governing board with responsibility for setting strategic direction, engaging people to help the organization obtain needed resources, and providing oversight. “

The five new members join a 29-member board that represents a wide-array of skills and experiences. Visit https://voanorthla.org/about-us/board-of-directors/ to see a complete list of the 2021-22 Board of Directors.

Please join us in welcoming our new members! On behalf of those we serve, we are thankful for their commitment to serve and their leadership in our community.
