Belonging is the Beginning

Join us for the 2026 Cherish the Children of God Breakfast on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Each year, thousands of our neighbors walk through our doors searching for stability, hope, and belonging. Last year alone, more than 8,000 men, women, and children turned to Volunteers of America North Louisiana for support. Because of you, we were able to meet them with compassion and supportive solutions.

During this powerful one-hour gathering, you will hear moving stories of resilience and witness firsthand what happens when someone is reminded, they are not alone, and they are welcomed, supported, and given a place to belong. The funds raised at this year’s breakfast will help close our current fiscal year funding gap of $2.7 million, and ensure we can continue serving children and families, Veterans, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.
