As the summer heat intensifies, so does Dillas Quesadillas’ commitment to doing good. In a unique partnership with KTBS Channel 3, Dillas Quesadillas, located in Louisiana, DFW, and soon in East Texas, will donate $100 to Volunteers of America North Louisiana every day the temperature reaches 100 degrees. The funds will be used to purchase uniforms for school-aged children served by Volunteers of America North Louisiana.
“We are excited to partner with the Volunteers of America to raise money for school uniforms for students in need,” said Pete John, CEO of Primeaux Restaurant Group, a franchisee of Dillas Quesadillas. “Volunteers of America has made and continues to make a great impact in the community, and we are thrilled to help make a difference for them. Giving back to the community that has given so much to us is a pillar in our organization and something we strive to do in every community we serve.”
As the summer temperatures soar over the next couple of months, the impact of this initiative on students in need becomes even more crucial.
“For students to be successful in school, they must have access to necessities, like uniforms, backpacks, hygiene items, and school supplies,” said Carolyn Hammond, CEO and President of Volunteers of America North Louisiana. “These raised funds will greatly benefit our children and families programs, ensuring that we can provide new uniforms for students in need before the 2024-25 school year begins.”
